Route
From a twenty-minute call to a hire who starts next month.
Three waypoints. The first two are the same for staffing and recruitment: you bring the role and the budget, we bring the shortlist. At the third you decide who employs the hire, us or you. You keep the management either way. Here is what happens at each point, in the order it happens.
- 1
Book a 20-minute call.
Tell us the role, the team and the budget. We’ll tell you honestly whether nearshore is the right fit.
Day 1 · 20 min - 2
Meet your shortlist within a week.
Three to five vetted candidates, pre-screened for skills, English fluency and time-zone availability. Sourced with Torre.ai’s AI matching and our own network.
Day 5 · 3–5 candidates - 3
Hire and start.
Staffing: we handle the contract, payroll, benefits, equipment and compliance in the candidate’s country, and you manage the work. Recruitment: you make the offer and employ the hire directly. The work and the IP are yours either way.
Week 2–3 · staffing or recruitment
What each step looks like from your side.
1. The call
Bring the role, who the person reports to and a budget range. We ask about the tools, the hours and the first ninety days. If nearshore is wrong for the seat, we say so on the call; some roles need to be in the building, and some need a US license.
2. The shortlist
Torre.ai matches on skills, seniority and English across its network. Our team interviews every match live, runs a role exercise (a pairing session, a SQL test, a mock cold call, a redline, an inbox triage), tests English in conversation and checks references. You receive three to five candidates with notes, results, salary expectations and notice periods. Then you interview.
3. Hire and start: staffing or recruitment
Staffing. We make the offer, sign the employment contract under local law through our entity or partner, ship the laptop and set the start date. From then on you get one invoice a month in US dollars, and we handle payroll, benefits, HR questions and, if it comes to it, the replacement.
Recruitment. You make the offer and employ the hire directly, through your own entity, your employer of record or a contractor agreement. We hand over our notes on salary expectations and notice period, and you pay a one-time fee for the search.
A typical calendar.
| When | What | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Intro call | Role, reporting line, budget range, time zone. We say yes or no to the fit on the call. |
| Days 2–5 | Sourcing and vetting | Torre.ai matching, then live interviews, a role exercise, English and references. |
| Day 5–7 | Shortlist | Three to five candidates with our notes, test results, salary expectations and notice periods. |
| Week 2 | Your interviews | You meet the ones you like. We schedule across time zones and collect feedback. |
| Week 3 | Offer and contract | Staffing: we make the offer, sign the local employment contract and order the equipment. Recruitment: you make the offer, with our notes on salary and notice period. |
| Weeks 4–6 | Start | Most Latin American notice periods run 15 to 30 days. Day one is onboarding with your team. |
| Day 30 and 90 | Check-ins | A short call with you and with the hire. For staffing hires, if it is not working, the replacement guarantee applies. |
Questions about the process.
01How fast can I hire?
Most clients meet their first shortlist within a week of the intro call and make an offer within two to three weeks.
02How do you vet candidates?
Torre.ai matches on skills, seniority and English first. Then our team interviews every candidate live, runs a role-specific exercise (code, SQL, a mock sales call, a redline, an inbox triage), tests English in conversation and checks references. You interview the finalists and make the decision.
03Do I interview the candidates?
Yes, always. We send three to five vetted candidates with our notes; you interview the ones you like. We never place someone you have not met.
04What do you need from me to start?
A twenty-minute call. Bring the role, who the person will report to and a budget range. We will tell you on the call whether nearshore is a fit, which countries we would search, and whether staffing or recruitment suits the hire.
Your next hire could start next month.
Twenty minutes with us. No commitment. We’ll tell you if nearshore is right for the role.
